Bonnie M. Wetzel

Bonnie M. Wetzel, age 99 of Zanesville, OH died 7:35 AM, Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Brookdale.  She was born Monday, December 26, 1921 in Zanesville, the daughter of Russel and Inez (Fitch) Escover. She was married to Floyd “Buzz” Wetzel who preceded her in death.  She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and retired as a sales associate with Sears.

She is survived by two sons, John A. (Kathy) Wetzel and William (Virginia) Wetzel; one daughter-in-law, Victoria Wetzel; grandchildren, Lee, Jeanette, and Maranna, Sarah, Elizabeth, Amy Marie, Pamela Ann, Patricia Renee; great grandchildren, Leighton, Cole, Landin, Camron and Kyle,  Hunter, Gracie, Anthony J., Dominic Michael, Ava Marguerite, Madeline Victoria, Ian and Elaine Bonnie,  great great grandchildren:  Karsynn, Karmrie, Kingston and, Cora and one niece, Sue Parrish and nephew, Daniel Sims.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sons; infant Joseph Arnold Wetzel and Bob Wetzel and one sister, Vivan Sims.

The family would like to thank the staff of Brookdale for the care and attention they gave to their mother during her 10 year stay.

Friends may call from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 2, 2021, at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville.  A funeral service will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 2, 2021, at the funeral home with Fr. Martin Ralko officiating. Burial will conclude in the Mount Olive Cemetery, Zanesville.
