Books and Brews Back for 2026

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Adult beverages come in many fermented forms and flavors that inspire just as many discussions about their appeal.
Friends of the Library Vice President Bev Bell talked about an upcoming fundraiser that allows attendees an opportunity to sample a wide array of adult beverages, join in trivia and enjoy live music.
“The Friends of the Library are partnering with Weasel Boys and this will be our 4th annual Books and Brews at Weasel Boys and it’s a trivia night. So we have trivia, raffles, door prizes and a good time. You know, snacks, hors d’oeuvres, you can get… with the price of entry, it’s $40 dollars for two, $25 for singles. So bring all the people that you can,” Bell said.
Friends of the Library operates a book store inside the John McIntire Library that has been closed for renovations, which makes the Books and Brews event a major contributor to their budget. The book sales raise funds, which help support many youth and adult learning events that take place throughout the year across the Muskingum County Library System.
“They can participate by joining on the website and registering for the event,” Bell said. “It’ll be happening on March 26th, from 5:30 to 7:30 at Weasel Boys. The $25 dollars and the $40 dollars will get you… It includes a drink ticket, it includes 2 books and you get three raffle tickets and you can purchase more raffle tickets there, when you come to the program.”
