ZANESVILLE, Ohio – A downtown business will be hosting a fundraising event for an established nonprofit.

October’s, Boo’s & Bites fundraising event for the local Habitat For Humanity, which was held at A Taste Of Ohio Wine, Bourbon, & Beer, was a mixology class that was so popular, they transitioned the Boo to a Valentine’s Day theme and are conducting it again.

“We’re inviting our wine, bourbon and beer reps in. So they’ll also be there to collaborate with the customers. We’re really happy to do this with them and highlight the local products that we use. So what we do, is we do three drinks and walk them through a mixology class and how to craft those drinks with local ingredients, here in Ohio and then we also pair it with a food option. So they get a taste of Ohio as well,” A Taste of Ohio Wine, Bourbon, & Beer Owner Angela Bailey said.

Habitat for Humanity of Southeast Ohio is an organization that is striving to address affordable housing and educational concerns right here in Muskingum County.

“So we are blessed in Muskingum County to have a group of people that support our endeavors and they’re called Habitat Ambassadors. The ambassadors got together and like we want to do something different and help raise money and raise awareness about the work and the impact that Habitat’s making right here in Muskingum County. And Angela stepped up. She says we have this beautiful venue, you’re welcome to come here and let’s do something that Zanesville hasn’t seen very often before,” Habitat For Humanity Southeast Ohio Director of Community Engagement Melissa Best said.

The Valentine’s Day edition of Boo’s & Bites will take place from 5:30 to 7:30, Tuesday February 10th, at A Taste Of Ohio Wine, Bourbon, and Beer, located at 524 Main Street in Zanesville. Tickets are selling fast and can be purchased online.
