Both Lanes Open- I-70 Near New Concord

***Update**** Just before 4 p.m. both lanes of I-70 westbound in Guernsey County were open and the accident scene was clear.  A Semi ended up on ts side and it closed one lane of traffic for most of the day and cause 5 mile long back on interstate.

The Ohio Department of Transportation says I-70 westbound in Guernsey County is down to one lane after an accident. Authorities say a semi ended up on its side and is blocking one lane around 3 miles east of New Concord.  Emergency crews are on the scene.  No word when the closed lane will reopen.  The Ohio Department of Transportation says traffic is backed up around 5 miles.  One suggestion is westbound travelers to get off I-70 at Cambridge and get onto U.S. 40.
