Bowl for Kids’ Sake Starting Soon

Big Brothers Big Sisters is hoping to roll a strike for its annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake fundraiser

Last year the event raised $70,000, but this year the organization is aiming much higher.

“Bowl for Kids Sake is the largest fundraising event that we host,” Executive Director Mollie Crooks said. “This year our fundraising goal is $83,000 net profit. That is a hefty increase over last year, but we think this community can rally and support us as they always have.”

The money raised will stay in Muskingum, Guernsey and Morgan counties. Crooks explains what the money helps Big Brothers Big Sisters do.

“The goals of Big Brothers Big Sisters are to see all children achieve success in life,” Crooks said. “We want them to do well in school, build self-confidence and also avoid risky behaviors. You are making a life long impact in a child’s life.”

The event kicks off March 10 at the Barn and March 11 at the Big Brothers Big Sisters office with information into fundraising techniques and a kick-off part. Then the bowling event will be April 25 at Sunrise on East Pike.
