Boy Scouts of America Muskingum Valley Installs Donated Sign

ZANESVILLE, Ohio — It’s been a seven-year journey for the Boy Scouts of America Muskingum Valley Chapter as they improve their headquarters, technology and programs.
A new sign outside their headquarters on McIntire Ave. in Zanesville serves as a capstone to their seven years of improvements.
“This is a great gift from the Kessler Sign Company. It’s part of his capital campaign contribution that helped us build our new scouting resource center and put us in really great facilities to really serve families in our nine-county area for the next fifty years. And this is just kind of the cherry on top that just brings it all together and finishes off the project,” says Ed Mulholland, Exec. Dir. of the local Boy Scouts chapter.
$1.5M was raised over that seven years allowing the local scout chapter to upgrade facilities at their camp, expand their dining hall and provide quality programming for scouts.
“It took a lot, a lot of donors. This is probably one of the very visible donations and Bob’s been great in that respect and his generosity helped lead to other folks who were eager to be generous and help us get the project over the top,” Mulholland adds.
The upgrades also included new technology and an app allowing training coordinators to access materials to help improve the experience for their Scouts.
