Brawl In The Mall
ZANESVILLE, Ohio – If you were a fan of professional wrestling back in the 80s and 90s, the Colony Square Mall has just the event for you.
Brawl In The Mall will feature a celebrity wrestler meet and greet, live wrestling matches and opportunities to buy and win wrestling memorabilia, all in the former JOANN Fabrics location.
“For one thing, Zanesville has never seen anything the likes of this,” Brawl in the Mall Promoter Adam Kurtz said. “We have never had like sort of a mini, fan-expo, a mini Comic-Con or anything like that here. So we are trying to bring something that Zanesville’s not seen before. So we’re bringing in eight different stars. We have James Avery from Buckeye Championship Wrestling, over in Newark. He’s bringing in his crew and they’re going to do a six-match demo throughout the day. There’s going to be several matches and they’re all great workers, I’ve seen them work before, they’re good.”
Aside from the wrestling, the Brawl in the Mall will have merchandise raffles, video games, food from Edie’s Deli and more. Kurtz said the event is a moment in time that will generate memories you’ll remember forever.
“I’ve always been a wrestling fan and I’ve loved it all my life and there’s millions of people like me,” Kurtz said. “They all like wrestling. Wrestling is a huge business. So let’s bring some old stars back before we don’t get a chance to meet them all. Let’s face it, they’re getting older and we just don’t have much time with them. So let’s bring them back. Let’s meet them. Let’s have some fun.”
Brawl in the Mall will take place from 1 to 5, Saturday, December 13th, in the Colony Square Mall, next to JC Penny’s. General Admission tickets are $15 dollars and VIP tickets, which allow you to cut in line, can be purchased for $45 dollars at the door.
