Brian Hill to Leave Ohio Senate

State Senator Brian Hill (R) 20th District of Zanesville is making a career change. In a press release on Wednesday afternoon Hill announced that he has made a decision to leave the Ohio Senate at the end of March.
“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed serving the people of southeast Ohio during my time in the legislature. After serious discussions with my family, I’ve decided to accept an offer to become the CEO of the Guernsey-Muskingum Electric Cooperative. I plan to remain with the Senate through the end of March. I want to thank my Senate colleagues and President Obhof for the opportunity to serve with them. This has been a difficult decision, but one that is right for my family.”
Hill tells WHIZ News this was a difficult decision but it is an opportunity to be closer to home and still serve the people of Muskingum and Guernsey Counties.
Senate President Larry Obhof thanked Hill for his service to the people of the state of Ohio and wishes him well as he begins this new chapter in his life. Obhof will now appoint someone to fill Hill’s term.
