Bright Side of Tragedy
In 2005, 8 year old Chloe Barker died from a tragic boating accident. Though her family is devastated, they found hope in creating a scholarship in Chloe’s memory.
Saturday at Roseville Community Center family and friends gather to enjoy live music, food and Chloe’s memory. All proceeds go to the Chloe Barker Memorial Scholarship.
"She was a bright star, she was amazing in some way she touched everybody’s life that she came into contact with,’ described her uncle, Bryan Hartley.
Among those in attendance was Chloe’s sister, Gracie, along with her uncle who is excited for this 2nd annual event.
"Just seeing everybody coming together have a good time and ah and listen to music and kind of relax ," he said.
The scholarship funds will go to Roseville students as well as Miss Muskingum Valley contestants. If you did not make it out Saturday, you can donate to the cause at any community bank. You can make checks out to the Chloe Barker Memorial.
