Burris Gets Court Appointed Attorney
A Cambridge man accused of killing a pizza delivery driver has requested and received a court-appointed attorney.
Cambridge Municipal Court Judge Mark Nicholson set bond at $1 million for Adam Burris, who appeared at his arraignment via video on Monday. His attorney is Andrew Warhola.
Burris is charged with murder in the slaying of 26-year-old Kayla Thompson, also of Cambridge. Authorities in Guernsey County said she did not return from a delivery to Burris’ home on McPherson Avenue last Thursday. The Sheriff said Burris was taken into custody and led authorities to Thompson’s body near a boat ramp at Dillon State Park. Burris’ next municipal court date is a preliminary hearing January 7th at 3 p.m.
