Business Finance Program

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce is teaming up with the Small Business Development Center to train for-profit businesses in finance.
S.B.D.C. is an affiliate of Ohio University who offers Profit Mastery Classes only to small for-profit organizations that have been in business for at least one year. The Chamber of Commerce President Dana Matz claimed this class will help their members to learn more about their finances so their business may expand.
“Understanding their financial position, understanding their books, and understanding how to get their business plan on the financial side in place and ready to go,” Matz said. “If they’re going to be going to the bank and looking to expand their business.”
This is a two-part program with the first class taking place on September 19, 2017 from 9:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. and the second on September 26, 2017 also from 9:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. This is the first year the Chamber of Commerce has teamed up to hold the Profit Mastery Class.
“Cindy Voorhies is the local contact for the S.B.D.C. and we’ve worked with Cindy throughout the years in different ways and so this is our first project this year with them,” Matz said. “This is their first time offering Profit Mastery Class. Taking the mystery out of profits for your business, so we’re excited to see how this goes. We hope we have participation and if so we’re looking forward to doing more of these in the future.”
Registration includes a 200 page workbook and S.B.D.C has made this program free to eligible chamber members. To register contact Trenia Twyman at least ten business days before the first class. Twyman can be reached by emailing twyman@ohio.edu or calling (740) 597-1460.
