Cambridge Native Adam Calvert to Debut “Horses in Ohio” Music Video at Downtown Arena

CAMBRIDGE, OH – Cambridge native and country music artist, Adam Calvert, is taking the stage Saturday, Oct. 10, at the Downtown Arena in Cambridge for a special performance and the premiere of his latest music video.
Calvert’s latest single, “Horses in Ohio,” was written and recorded in Nashville, Tennessee, but the story behind it began right here in Guernsey County.
“Horses in Ohio” is inspired by the life of Art Postlewait. Now, for the folks that don’t know Art, he was a rodeo star here in town. He had his own traveling rodeo, as well as he put on other people’s rodeos,” Calvert said.
Postlewait was also known throughout the community for his horses, including Christmas rides through town. Years later, those memories helped inspire Calvert’s song.
“He was very big into the community. I’m just very excited to encompass his life in a song. But more importantly than that, he gave me my start at the age of 6 or 7. He let me sing in his rodeo.” Calvert said.
Now, Calvert is bringing the song back to the community that inspired it. Kade Bradley will open Saturday’s show before Calvert takes the stage. The evening will also feature the premiere of the “Horses in Ohio” music video on the big screen.
“I’m most looking forward to connecting with the folks here in Cambridge. You could say my fans, but they’re really all friends at this point. We’re going to put the music video up on the big screen so everyone can watch it. It’s going to be a very special night.” Calvert said.
For Calvert, it’s a chance to share a little piece of Nashville while honoring someone who helped his musical journey begin right here at home.
Doors open Saturday at 7 p.m., with music beginning at8 p.m. Tickets are $5. More information is available on Adam Calvert’s Facebook page.
