Cannabist Company Chooses Not to Pursue Zanesville Market

Zanesville, OH- A recreational marijuana dispensary set to locate in the Chiropractic Associates of Zanesville building will now locate elsewhere.

Dr. Rusty Myers said he was alerted by the Cannabist Company, which had intended to purchase the building on Maple Avenue, that they have elected not to pursue the Zanesville Market.

Myers provided a portion of an e-mail from Mallory McCarthy from the Cannabist Company, “We are going in a different direction with our dispensary location – unfortunately with four other adult use operators approved in Zanesville which we did not anticipate a few weeks ago, our senior leadership determined it would be in our best interest to seek a location with less competition.”

Myers said Chiropractic Associates will remain at the current location and will continue to serve the Zanesville community from their current location indefinitely.
