DUNCAN FALLS, Ohio-  The Wayne Township Fire Department hosted its 24th Annual Antique and Classic Car Show.

The car show is a fundraiser for the Fire Department to help buy equipment. Wayne Township Fire Chief, Donald Alexander, said almost 200 people came to show off their classic cars and compete for prizes.

“We have five teams of judges,” said Alexander. “They’re looking at paint, cleanliness, interior, and engine compartment. They’re just judging the car.”

Cars ranged from American Muscle cars, to imports, as well as classic trucks. Alexander said he enjoys being able to walk around and see all the different types of cars. He said the turn out is exceptional.

“The amount of people that come out and support the Fire Department. That’s 196 people that paid money to come support us so that other people can come and look at their car,” said Alexander.

Alexander said they raised between $1000 to $1,500. He said that money helps the department buy little things it needs throughout the year.
