CareyTown Celebrates 40 Years

A child care center is celebrating a big anniversary.

CareyTown Preschool and Child Care Center celebrated forty years today. The school started with ten children and has grown to over one-hundred and fifty at their current location on Pershing Road.

"We serve families that go to school or work we do have some parents that just put their kids in for socialization they get a preschool education getting them ready for kindergarten," said CareyTown Executive Director Debbie Fisher.

Former as well as current students and staff attended the celebration ceremony which offered many fun activities.

"We just hope that they can come and have fun and we’re having music and food and games and raffles and bounce houses, dunk tanks all kinds of fun things for the kids to do," said Fisher.

CareyTown is a year round facility, they offer classes to children as young as six weeks until twelve years of age.
