Carl Stickdorn

Carl David Stickdorn, Sr., 78, of New Lexington, Ohio died at 1:50am on Friday, December 26, 2025 at Licking Memorial Healthcare System under the care of Hospice of Central Ohio.

Born October 31, 1947 in Hemlock, Ohio to the late Herman and Mildred Tivner Stickdorn.

Dave was a United States Marine Corps Vietnam Veteran; he was a member of the Corning American Legion Post #327, VFW Post #2806 of New Lexington, where he held several offices and was a Past Commander and BPOE #509 of New Lexington, where he was a past Exalted Ruler. Dave was a retired coalminer from Peabody Coal Company; Methodist by faith; he enjoyed golf, fishing, sitting in the sun while watching nature, DJ’ing and playing music.

Survived by his wife, Kay Lemity Stickdorn; son, Davy (Gina) Stickdorn; daughter, Carla (Matt) Stimmel; step-son, Ryan (Lisa) Householder; grandchildren, Meagan, Kristopher, Madalyn and Morgan; step-grandchildren, Grace, Logan and Justin; several great-grandchildren and a sister, Kathy Willette.

In addition to his parents, preceded in death by a daughter, Carmen Stickdorn; sisters, Betty, Janet and Patty; brothers, Elmer, James, Charles and George.

Calling hours will be held from 2pm-4pm and 5pm-8pm with Elks services at 7:30pm and VFW services at 7:45pm on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Burial will be held at a later date in New Lexington Cemetery with graveside military honors.
