Carla Mullen

Carla M. Mullen went home to be with the Lord on September 6, 2026 after an extended illness that resulted in Cardiac Arrest.

She was born the youngest daughter to her parents, William P. and Anna Maye Mullen of Shawnee/New Straitsville. Carla was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

She will be forever remembered and missed by her siblings, Theressa (Mike) Kane and Daryell W. Mullen; her nieces, Blake (Rick) Kimes, Staci (Zak) Hannah; great nieces, Ashton J. and Allie M. Kimes and Staci’s three beautiful daughters; friends, Don Wickham and Vickie Stalker of Arethusa Springs Apartments and her childhood pal, Melanie Corroll.

Carla will be remembered for her child-like spirit, willingness to help others, snarkiness, generosity, kindness and sarcastic humor. She loved living at Arethusa Springs, where she made her friends family, welcomed those who came to the building, called Bingo and shared time doing diamond art.
Carla will always be remembered as a true friend and the center of all family events.

Calling hours will be held from 10am-12pm with funeral service at 12:00pm with Pastor Tim Poling officiating on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Burial will follow in Shawnee Cemetery, Shawnee, Ohio.
