Carlisle “Dutch” Lewis
Carlisle “Dutch” George Lewis Jr., 79, of Zanesville passed at 12:30 PM Saturday, July 25, 2026, at the Altercare of Zanesville.
He was born on Tuesday, November 26, 1946, in Zanesville, Ohio, the son of Carlisle George Lewis Sr. and Irene Blanche Helser Lewis Waldman.
Dutch was a graduate of Zanesville High School and from Mt. Union College. He then attended undergrad at Ohio State University and graduated from Ohio State Law School. Dutch worked for 40 years with the Stewart Glapat Company as a sales manager. He served on the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement and Board of Directors of the Zanesville Country Club. He enjoyed playing tennis, softball and football.
He is survived by his son, Zachary C. Lewis; a sister, Carolyn (Dan) Stephens; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Dutch was preceded in death by his wife, Jane L. Mears Lewis; a daughter, Meghan Lewis and a sister, Sondra Wiezbiski.
No services will be held at this time.
