Carol Hansel (August 1, 1938 – November 8, 2015)

Carol M. Hansel, 77, of Zanesville, died at 1:17 A.M. Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Hospice of Central Ohio, Newark. She was born August 1, 1938, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Bernard Knowlden and Mignon Metcalf Knowlden Blake. She retired from Ohio Bell Telephone as a long distance operator after 23 years of service and retired from Genesis Healthcare Systems as a switchboard operator after 14 years of service. Carol was a member of Immanuel Church.
Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Carl G. Hansel, whom she married December 29, 1959, of the home; a daughter, Keena Hansel of Zanesville; a son, Todd (Amy) Hansel of Akron; a granddaughter, Madison Hansel of Lakewood and two sisters, Phyllis Greiner and Dixie (John) Gilliland all of Zanesville and several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family may call from 11:00 A.M. till time of funeral service at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE with Pastor Mitch Reed officiating. She will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville.
