Carol McCann

Carol Ann (Lewis) McCann passed away peacefully Wednesday June 26th 2024 surrounded by her family. Carol was born October 1st 1948 in Cincinnati Ohio to Betty and Paul Lewis. She was a 1966 graduate of Batavia High School and a 1971 graduate of Miami University.
Carol was a loving Wife, Sister, Mother, Aunt and Grandmother. Carol truly lived life to the fullest and enjoyed every moment. One of Carol’s favorite things to do was to go on vacation with her family to Kiawah Island, South Carolina. She loved the beach, searching for seashells and sand dollars and watching the sunrise and sunset. This is where she was most at peace. Carol is known for her world-famous brownies. She would always bring them to holiday parties or just make them for her family because she knew everyone loved them! Carol also enjoyed spending time with her friends where she was a member of the Zanesville Country Club, Authors Club, Garden Club and Assembly Club. Carol adored her two grandchildren, Henry and Caroline McCann and enjoyed watching them any chance that she could. Carol was one of the most loving, kind and gentle souls and was truly an amazing person and would do anything for anyone.
Carol is survived by her husband Stephen McCann, daughter Anna McCann, son Alexander McCann, daughter-in-law Kristen McCann, two grandchildren Henry and Caroline McCann, sister Becky Strickler and brother-in-law Fletcher Strickler of Tucson Arizona, sister in law Marilyn McCann of Mill Valley California, sister in law Colleen McCann and brother in law David McCann of Frazeysburg Ohio, sister in law Marie McCann and brother in law Blane McCann of Omaha Nebraska and many nieces and nephews.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents Betty and Paul Lewis of Batavia, Ohio.
Family, friends and others whose lives Carol touched are invited to the Zanesville Country Club from 2-4 on Saturday July 13th 2024 to reminisce, grieve and support each other.
Private family service will be held with burial in Frazeysburg, Cemetery.
