Carr Center Gears up for 40th Annual Cake Auction

ZANESVILLE, OH – The Carr Center’s 40th Annual Cake Auction is right around the corner.
This annual fundraiser auction helps to bring in funds that help with the many programs they offer to the community like their Adult Day, Speech Therapy, and Toddler Enrichment.
Katie Graham, the Executive Director of the Carr Center, says their clients are more like family at the Center and they always keep them in mind when creating new programs for them to enjoy.
“So this year, with 40 years, we were really thinking of the community and the theme is “Care, Cake, and Community.” Graham said. “Because we would not be here without community support and we care, that’s what we do, we love our clients, we love our community and we serve cake! We love cake!”
Last year the Carr Center hit a total of $5 Million raised over 39 years. Graham says this year she’s not worrying about a money total, instead she’s looking for more bakers to put their creative spin on some delicious desserts.
“What I would love for this year is 350 cakes to 400 cakes.” Graham said. “That’s really my goal is to get more people involved.”
The deadline to get your cake and incentive in the Bid Booklet is April 13th but Graham says they will accept cakes up until the Auction kicks off.
The 40th Annual Carr Center Cake Auction will take place on April 22nd and 23rd at the Colony Square Mall.
To get your cake and incentive registered, you can head to the Carr Center’s website.
