Cat Named Will Turner: Our WHIZ / Animal Shelter Society Pet of the Week

ZANESVILLE, Ohio — Tonight we introduce you to a black and brown tabby, our WHIZ / Animal Shelter Society Pet of the Week.

Shelter Society staff tell us this week’s pet is smart and makes up his mind quickly.

“This is Will Turner and he’s been with us since about September. So, he’s been here a little while. He’s about nine years old and he’ll really do best in a home where he’s the only pet. He can get a little attitude now and then and he likes to have all the attention. He’s really sweet and he’s actually really smart. He’s part of our cat positive program here, so he’s learned some tricks and our staff’s been having a lot of fun with that so he’s a really smart cat and he will make a great pet for someone,” says Stephanie Hill, Animal Shelter Society Board Member.

Adoption for Will the Cat is already paid, so anyone taking him home won’t need to pay any adoption fees. Also at the Animal Shelter Society, a big event is coming up next week.

“We have our open house coming up next Wednesday, March 4, we’re really excited about that. From 5 until 7 p.m., stop into the shelter. We’ll be having refreshments, we’ll be giving tours, animals obviously will be available for adoption and if you haven’t had a chance yet to meet our new director, we would love for you to stop in and meet her as well,” Hill adds.

The Animal Shelter Society is located on Newark Road, across from the O-U-Z Zane State Campus just west of Zanesville.
