Celebrate the 4th of July with the Zanesville Jaycees: Annual Stars and Stripes on the River

ZANESVILLE, Ohio If you’re looking for fireworks, food and fun for this upcoming holiday, you won’t have to go far. The Zanesville Jaycees are back with their annual Stars and Stripes event, and it’s all happening right at Zane’s Landing.

The highly anticipated two-day celebration includes live music, local food vendors, and a fireworks finale, all in honor of the 4th of July. It’s a family-friendly tradition that brings the community together and continues to grow every year.

“It’s our annual event we hold every year right here in Zane’s Landing. It’s going on Thursday and Friday [July 3 and 4] with all the music starting around 5 p.m. on Thursday,” Zanesville Jaycees Media Chair Josh Tisonyai said.

The Zanesville Jaycees, also known as the U.S. Junior Chamber, is a nonprofit that puts its focus on the local community. Whether they’re raising money for scholarships or organizing events like this, their goal is to give residents something to enjoy and to give back to their community

“We’re going to have a lot of different food this year, over 12 food vendors. We’re going to have burritos, steak sandwiches… everything from previous years and a lot more, this event is totally free. Bring the whole family down. There’s not a bad spot here in Zane’s Landing or anywhere in downtown for that matter. We’re all doing this for the Zanesville community and it’s just our way of giving back,” Tisonyai said.

This event is about more than just fun. Scholarships and awards will be given to local seniors, helping them start their college careers strong. All donations and proceeds go toward future Jaycees events, including their Christmas for Kids program in December.
