Chad Montgomery

Chad Michael Montgomery, 45 of Zanesville, passed away suddenly on June 9, 2024, at his residence.
He was born on March 22, 1979, in Zanesville, Ohio, son of Michael Montgomery and Valerie (Parris) Montgomery. Chad was a graduate of the Maysville High School/ Mid East CTC in 1997, where he received his Natural Resources Certification. He was a member of the IBEW 1105 Local Union. Chad worked for Humphrey Electric and Cupertino Electric before owning and operating CM Electrical. Chad loved to fish, hunt, and ride dirt bikes. He was a self-proclaimed member of the Blue Gill River Fishing Club. Chad loved his Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes. In his free time, he enjoyed watching his old Westerns and shows like Andy Griffith. Above all, he loved spending his time with his family and loved ones.
Chad is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Krysta (Houston) Montgomery; 4 children: Houston (Josie) Montgomery, Hayden Montgomery, Harper Montgomery, Heather Montgomery; parents, Michael and Valerie (Parris) Montgomery; brother, Rob (Maria) Montgomery; 2 sisters: Kim (Tony) McFarland, Heather (Gary) Stubbs; first grandson, Colter Ray, on the way; best friends, Josh Hartman and Tyler Tracy; several nieces, nephews, cousins; several Aunts & Uncles.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Lyle and Ruth Parris; grandfather-in-law, Ross Huggins.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday June 15, 2024, from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will be held at 3:00 PM with Pastor Josh Hartman officiating. Per Chad’s wishes, a dignified cremation will take place following services.
