Chad P. Maziar

Chad P. Maziar, 39, of Zanesville, with the heaviest of hearts, we mourn the passing of our good-hearted, fun-loving Chad P. Maziar.  He passed away on May 18, 2021, at the age of 39, as a result of a motorcycle accident. Chad was born January 27, 1982 to Steven and the late Rebecca Maziar. Chad loved to hunt deer and duck, fish, cook, kayak, camp, ride motorcycles, and be outdoors. Chad was a quiet hero and a friend to all who knew him.

Chad will join his mother Rebecca A. Maziar; paternal grandparents Peter (Waveline) Maziar, Jr.

Survived by his father, Steven Maziar; two children, Logan P. and Alexis A. Maziar; The mother of his children, Leanne Pickens; Siblings, Tonia L. (Brett) Maziar, Carie A. Maziar, and Steven “Todd” (Jodi) Maziar; his girlfriend; Jennifer Brennan and her children; Jesse, Alycia, and Kylie;  Niece, Brittany (Mike) Maziar; nephews, Joshua (Alissa) Postlethwait, Joseph Postlethwait, and Zack Maziar; a bonus grandchild, Raeelle; great niece, Blair Barnett;  great nephew, Andrew  Jones; aunts, uncles, other relatives, and many life-long friends.

In his passing, he was able to give the gift of life to others directly because of his decision to be an organ and tissue donor. Chad gifted his heart, tissue and both kidneys.

We are mourning our great loss but we know that Chad is watching over us all, especially his son, Logan and daughter, Alexis. If you have memories or pictures of him, feel free to share them. We find comfort in talking about him and thinking about his selfless acts of kindness, carefree attitude, and his ability to have fun in all that he did.

Chad will be missed greatly by his family and friends but never forgotten. Until we see you again, “Wide Open, Choke Out”.

Friends and family may call from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at Hillis Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at the funeral home with Fr. Martin J. Ralko officiating. Chad will be laid to rest at Mt. Olive Cemetery.
