Chamber Golf Outing Brings Local Businesses Together on the Green

ZANESVILLE, Ohio–The Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce brought local businesses together on the green for its 2025 Chamber Member Golf Outing.
Hosted at Green Valley Golf Course on Dresden Road, the annual event gave members a chance to network, relax, and enjoy some friendly competition. It teed off at noon on Friday, May 16, with registration beginning an hour earlier. Lunch was also provided for participants.
“We’re very excited to be at the Green Valley Golf Course, our wonderful host for our member businesses. Some of our members reward their employees, sometimes they bring a business client so there’s a lot of business done on the golf course as they say,” ZM Chamber President Dana Matz said.
Teams signed up under two categories: the $650 Corporate Sponsor Team or the $450 All in Team, both offering 18 holes of golf, carts, mulligans, lunch, beverage tickets, and entry into the skins game.
“In the Chamber world, golf outings are a common thing…we’re not going to make it super competitive; this is about networking. So, before the outing, golfers had a chance to have some lunch so they’re meeting other businesspeople and they’re making introductions so we use the golf outing as a networking opportunity, now there is some competition that will go on amongst the teams and we’re really excited about that. It’s also a chance for our staff to mingle with a hundred golfers today,” Matz said.
The event also included sponsorship opportunities for local businesses from signage and branding on carts and koozies to lunch and hole in one sponsorships. Matz would like to encourage those who haven’t found their home in the chamber to stop by ZMchamber.com under the membership tab to learn more.
