Chamber of Commerce Holding 2nd Annual Virtual Spring Break

Chamber Of Commerce

ZANESVILLE, Ohio-The Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce is holding its second ever virtual Spring Break this Friday at 12:30 pm.

The annual Spring Break moved to a completely virtual venue last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It will feature several keynote speakers and will be available for all county residents to view.

“2020 was a tough year but a lot of positive things did happen. What we always do is we recognize those things. So it’ll be  half an hour version of our hour and a half normal meeting. We’ll condense it down, George Hiotis will be our emcee, I’ll talk about the successes of the chamber, Kelly Ashby will talk about the successes of the convention of visitors bureau.”, president Dana Matz told WHIZ Monday afternoon.

The trio will also celebrate individuals and businesses within the community. The chamber sees Spring Break as a fun way to let the community know what the organization has done to help promote local business within the last year.

“Spring Break is the nickname that we give for our annual meeting. Per our byways we are required to have an annual meeting and this is the meeting. But the neat thing that has come out of this is now we don’t just have our Chamber member businesses, but the community as a whole. With Facebook Live, anyone in the world can watch our Spring Break Live 2021.”, Matz continued.

The event will be broadcast by the Chamber on Facebook and here on WHIZ.
