Chamber of Commerce Is Using New Technology Called Economic Dashboard

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce has been trying out a new program called the Economic Dashboard.

Chamber President Tom Poorman said it’s an online set of statistics with local economic indicators.

“We started compile this a couple years ago. We partner with the Muskingum County Library System and a local company called iTrack LLC. The three of us put together this dashboard every month. It’s all local data. You can get a lot national data. You can get a lot of state economic information. But if you want local data you have to compile it yourself,” said Poorman.

Poorman said the Economic Dashboard gives a snapshot of how the economy is doing locally.

“iTrack helps us with developing the software that lets you compare graphs and time periods,” said Poorman.

Poorman said the Economic Dashboard is also a great way to track trends in the economy as well.
