ZANESVILLE, Ohio – It’s almost time to propose a toast to health and happiness, all you need is a bottle of champagne or sparkling wine.

Champagne has been the New Years drink of choice for generations, but people may not commonly know what to look for when planning for New Years celebrations. Winerak Market’s Team Member Jason Schroeder explained the difference between champagne and sparkling wine.

“Champagnes actually come from France from the champagne region, anything else is a sparkling wine,” Schroeder said. “That doesn’t mean one is necessarily better than the other, but I can tell you that if you have the opportunity to try the difference between the two. I think you’ll find that a lot of people do prefer the champagne.”

For those on a budget, the Winrak has sparkling wine as low as $9.00 and from there the price of champagne can reach up to $200.00 – $300.00.

“I do have some Martini & Rossi, these are probably our most popular sparkling wines that people will pick up this time of year,” Schroeder said. “One I definitely want to point out is we’re actually one of the only stores in the area that carries Ruinart. Which is a champagne from the oldest champagne house in the world.”

The Winerak has an assortment of sweet and dry champagnes and sparkling wines. For more information stop by the Winerak and ask a Team Member or call in, (740) 454-6333.
