Changes Coming to Mail Delivery
Starting November 16, you may notice some changes when it comes to how your mail is delivered.
The Postal Service announced Monday that residents in Zanesville, Barnesville, Byesville and Roseville may have a new mail carrier or see a change in the time their mail is delivered.
Those four offices have reviewed and changed their routes in order to make them more efficient, due to rising costs.
The Postal Service says declining mail volumes, fluctuating fuel costs and a turbulent economy made the changes necessary.
It is projected the Postal Service will handle 175 billion pieces of mail this year, down from their highest year 2006 where they delivered 213 billion.
