Charges Filed After Hit and Skip
Charges were filed over the weekend after a hit and skip that occurred last Tuesday on Ontario Street.
Chief Miller says Timothy Thomas of Crooksville was apprehended in Ross County by the Highway Patrol over the weekend. He has been charged with 2 counts of felonious assault. At the scene last Tuesday the Zanesville Police said that after an altercation involving a knife, Thomas got into his car before striking the victim.
"I believe, it started out as an argument that escalated into a fight, that escalated further into him actually running over him with a car" said Miller.
Miller says that the victim was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital and then signed himself out at a later time. Miller also says that two females were at the scene at the time of the assault.
