Charges Filed in Multiple Robberies
Charges have been filed against three individuals regarding two separate robberies that took place over the weekend.
Zanesvlle Police Chief Kenneth Miller says that Jeremy Moody of Zanesville was charged with 1 count of aggravated robbery, and his brother, Courtney Moody, was charged with 1 count of complicity to aggravated robbery following an attempted robbery of a Speedway on Friday.
"Yes, he pulled a knife and demanded money and the clerk did not cooperate so he left," said Miller "But, through the investigation we found out that his brother, had dropped him off and thetas how he got charged with the complicity."
Miller also told us that after midnight on Monday morning, another unrelated robbery took place at a Duke Station. Kenneth West of Zanesville was charged with 1 count of robbery with repeat violent offender specification as well as one count of theft.
"This morning, we receive a report from the sheriffs office that they had an attempted robbery at the Speedway at Maple and Military. Approximately 6 minutes later we received a report at Duke Station at Maple and Forest."
The sheriffs office was still in the area after the robbery attempt at Duke and Duchess’ was reported and were able to locate West’s vehicle and make the arrest.
