Charles E. “Chuck” Vonada (May 5, 1941 – November 21, 2011)

Charles Edwin “Chuck” Vonada 70, of Zanesville passed away Monday November 21, 2011 at his residence. He was born May 5, 1941 in McKeesport, PA a son of the late Edwin and Kathryn Keller Vonada. Chuck was retired from Zanesville High School as a Guidance Counselor, graduated Kent State University with a Masters in Education, served four years in the United States Navy, longtime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church where he sang in the choir, served on the church council and Sunday School. He was also a member of the Retired Teachers Assoc. and the local M.S. Society Chapter. He enjoyed bowling, going out to eat and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years Ellen M. Hanel Vonada; daughters Terri Austin and Cindy (Darin) Dunnette both of Pickerington, OH; grandchildren Brittany and Josh Austin, Dalton and Rylie Dunnette; and niece Janelle Vonada of Milwaukee, WI.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step-mother Amy Vonada; brother and sister-in-law Robert and Patricia Vonada and one nephew Gregg Vonada.
Calling hours will be held on Friday November 25, 2001 from 5-8pm at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 W. MILITARY RD. ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will be held at 10a.m. on Saturday November 26, 2011 at the St. John’s Lutheran Church Market & 7th St. Zanesville. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
