Charles L. Foster, 92 of Zanesville, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Willow Haven Nursing Home. Charles was born September 7, 1921 in Newark, Ohio to the late Roy E. and Ethel Dollman Foster. He was employed by Armco Steel and served our country and protected our freedom by serving in the U.S. Army.
Charles is survived by his wife, Josephine R. Matis Foster, sons: Charles D. Foster of Zanesville and Timothy Foster of Florida, and two grandchildren Susan R. Foster of California and Jeffrey Foster. He loved people and enjoyed traveling.
Calling hours will be Sunday, March 9 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 W. MILITARY ROAD. Funeral services will be in the Snouffer Chapel Monday, March 10 at 11 A.M. with Pastor Steve Harrop officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Cemetery at Portersville.
