Charles Seevers

Charles Daniel Seevers Sr. of Zanesville, passed away at the age of 96 on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at 12:18 A.M. following a brief illness. Charlie was born on September 1, 1929 in Cambridge, Ohio to the late Richard and Audrey (Sickles) Seevers. He retired from Grief Brothers and loved playing video games, watching scary movies, and playing on his iPad.

He is survived by his sons, Charles Daniel Seevers Jr and Audie Dean (Brenda) Seevers both of Zanesville; his daughters, Lynn Machelle (Jeff) Mercer of Blue Rock, and Dawn Ann (Rick) Fugate of Xenia; eight grandchildren Crystal (Tim) Russell, Candi Cox, Nathaniel (Amanda) Seevers, Jamie (Chad) Kincheloe, Jessica (Eric Moroye) Seevers, Christopher Seevers, Marc Mercer, and Matt Mercer; and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Charlotte, who died in 2015; his sons, Christopher Lewis Seevers and Clay Allen Seevers; a granddaughter, Trina Marie Bevis; a brother, Jackie Seevers and his sisters, Mary Ann DeSarro, Iris Kinney, Dianna Faye Hina, and Karen Sue Wolfe.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Rose Hill Cemetery, 6739 Rose Hill Road, Roseville, with Pastor Melissa Wood officiating.

A cremation will take place under the direction of BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, AT OUR LOCALLY OWNED AND OPERATED CREMATORY.
