Charlotte Link Price, 82, of Newark, Ohio passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2024 surrounded by her loving family at The James Cancer Center in Columbus, Ohio.
Born October 8, 1941 in Zanesville, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Pauline A. (Stansberry) Brock and was a 1959 graduate of Frazeysburg High School and served as the Frazeysburg High School FFA Queen. Charlotte was a graduate of 3B’s Cosmetology School and retired from Licking Valley School in the Food Service Department. She served as the Food Service Supervisor. She was a former member of the Coburn United Methodist Church and currently attended Christ the King in Naples Florida. Her Christian faith defined her personality and the life of her family.
Charlotte was very active with her family, which was most important to her and she loved taking pictures of her family to display. Her family greatly enjoyed the amazing meals she cooked for them, including her expertise in delicious desserts and she loved trying new recipes. Charlotte cared greatly for her community and was one of the founding members of the Licking Valley Hanover-Toboso Scholarship program. Charlotte was eager to care for the less fortunate of the area and was all inclusive, trying to make each person feel like the most important person in the room. She was quite thrifty and always loved to shop for a bargain. She enjoyed yard sales, collecting tea pots, going to the beach and collecting seashells as well as doing crafts. Any home to which she moved, she loved to remodel, even ones that most would think didn’t need remodeling. Charlotte was a very happy person, a dedicated Buckeye Fan and a big jokester. She was always the life of the party and the ultimate hostess.
Surviving is her husband, Reverend Dr. Stephen Price, whom she married June 14, 2008; two sons, Tim (Missy) Link and Terry (Debbie) Link, both of Granville, Ohio; a step-son, Matt (Melissa) Price of Utica, Ohio; four grandchildren, who were the light of her life, Tyler (Cynthia) Link, Joshua Link, Hayes Link and Journy Link; and two great grandchildren, Alexis and Maddox. Also surviving is a brother, Rodger (Anita) Brock of Frazeysburg and several nieces and nephews, including a “special niece”, Stephanie Hines.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Jim Link, and her daughter, Tamara Link.
Calling hours will be Monday July 22, 2024 from 11am-2pm at the Meadow View Church of Christ, 6750 Raiders Road, Frazeysburg, Ohio 43822.
Funeral services will also be July 22, 2024 at 2pm at the Meadow View Church of Christ with Minister Sam Dunn officiating.
Charlotte will be laid to rest in the Hanover Cemetery.
