Chase and Crash Close State Route 60 — Now Re-Opened to Traffic

The Ohio Department of Transportation says State Route 60 North was closed Friday due to an accident. O-dot says its assisting law enforcement with an accident between Olde Falls Road and Fairview Road. Authorities are investigating a chase that started in Zanesville and involved Zanesville Police and Muskingum County Sheriff’s deputies. Some law enforcement vehicles were damaged in the incident. Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz says a suspect is in custody. The Zanesville Post of the Highway Patrol is assisting in the investigation. It all started before 2:00 pm. The case remains under investigation. State Route 60 reopened to traffic just before 3:30 pm.
