Cheryl Rose

On Saturday August 22, 2026, God needed another angel. Cheryl A. Rose was peacefully surrounded by her loved ones at the Oaks of Northpointe Nursing Home.
She was born on June 15, 1956, in Zanesville, Ohio, daughter of the late Anthony Wayne Rose Sr. and Virginia Ruth Boyer. Cheryl was a graduate of Maysville High in 1975. She worked at Leer/Essex Wire for over 30 years, where she retired. She was known for cooking her homemade noodles and rooting for her Cleveland Indians. In her free time, she enjoyed going to BINGO and watching her daytime soap operas. Above all, she loved spending her time with her family and loved ones.
Cheryl is survived by her 2 children: Jason McGraw and Jennifer (Steven) Wade; grandchildren, Kyleigh (Jacob Demattio) McGraw and Myleigh (Caleb Hall) McGraw; 3 special grandchildren, Harley Murphy, Hannah Patterson, and Ellie Marie; brother, Jim Rose; sister, Carol Archer; 4 step grandchildren: McKenzie (Sarah) Freeman, Eli Wade, Emily Wade, and Chance Crawford; special friend of 55 years, Wanda Shaffer; many niece, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Anthony “Tony” Rose; 2 unborn grandchildren; brother-in-law, Edward Archer.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday August 25, 2026, from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM and Wednesday August 26, 2026, from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will be held on Wednesday August 26, 2026, at 11:00 AM with Pastor Donny Rowland officiating. Burial will conclude services at St. Paul Cemetery.
