Chief Coury: Electrical Malfunction — No Gunshots on Putnam

Building

Zanesville Police Chief Tony Coury says a report of six gun shots on Putnam Avenue turned out to be an electrical malfunction in a building.  It was located next to the Salvation Army.  The area is clear and Putnam Avenue has been re-opened to traffic.  Chief Coury says city code officials are now going to inspect the building. All the occupants have found other lodging for the weekend.  There were no injures reported.  More to come on the Whiz News at 6:00, 7:00 and 11:00 p.m.
