Child Struck by Vehicle

A 9-year-old is taken to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle.

The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office said just before 12:30p.m. Sunday they received a 911 call in reference to a car/pedestrian accident at South 7th Street and Poplar.

When authorities arrived they found a 1998 Buick Century driven by 19-year-old Dominic McClung, of Coshocton, was driving west on Popular when the child ran out between two parked cars.

The vehicle couldn’t stop in time and struck the boy.

The child was taken to Coshocton Regional Medical Center and then flown by MedFlight to Nationwide Childrens Hospital.
