DRESDEN, OH- Children took over Main Street in Dresden at 10 a.m. to kick off the annual Kiddie Day Parade as part of the Dresden Homecoming.
Kiddie Day was hosted by the Dresden Homecoming Association. Their parade invited children 10 and under to march with decorated wagons, bikes and even pets. This years theme was “The Fabulous Fifties.”
“I’ve been wanting to do this since I was little, and it’s my first year doing it and I got queen,” said 2025 Dresden Homecoming Queen Emily Shoop.
Participants competed in costume and decoration categories, with ribbons awarded for first through third place, along with participation prizes.
“We judge them, give out 3rd, 2nd, and 1st place ribbons, and then participation awards too,” Shoop said.
Children also enjoyed bounce houses, a puppet show, water balloons, and gift bags as part of the festivities.
