Christina Burkhart

Christina Lynn Burkhart,65, of Zanesville passed away on Sunday July 12, 2026, at Genesis Hospital.

She was born in Zanesville on September 26, 1960, to Lester and Norma Jean Hamilton Hetrick. She was a 1978 graduate of Maysville High School and was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Chris was a devoted housewife and enjoyed cooking, sewing, knitting, and crocheting. She was an administrator for facebook and was a friend to all who knew her.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband Robert “Bob” Burkhart, whom she married May 2, 1986; a brother Lee (Kathy) Hetrick; two sisters: Cheryl (Bill) Conaway and Stephanie (Shanon) Crane; father-in-law: Ellis Burkhart; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law: Eleanor Burkhart; and her grandparents Herbert (Elsie) Hamilton.

Calling hours will be from 2-4 and 6-8pm on Friday, July 17, at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. Funeral service will be held at 11am on Saturday, July 18, in The Snouffer Chapel with Father Dave Young officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery.
