Christ’s Table Prepares For Easter Dinner

Visitors of one local organization will be treated to an Easter dinner with all of the traditional holiday fixings Friday.

Christ’s Table is gearing up it’s Annual Easter dinner on Good Friday and they are inviting those in need out to enjoy a special meal with them. Executive Director Keely Warden said their friends from Eastside Community Ministries are providing another special treat for everyone in attendance.

"The kids put little egg baskets together, little egg bags together for everybody everyone will leave with a egg tomorrow. So if the Easter bunny doesn’t leave a basket for a kid, even all of our adults will be getting a special treat tomorrow because, of Eastside Community Ministries. So we want to thank our partners we serve many of the same families, so partnerships like this are very important," said Warden.

Warden said they plan to serve and deliver nearly 500 meals to ensure this day is special for everyone, even those who can not travel. She said there may even be a special appearance from the Easter Bunny himself.

"We are hoping that with our connections that the Easter Bunny will make his appearance tonight and hide hide some baskets for the kids tomorrow so we are hoping that by tomorrow there will be a special Easter Bunny surprise for our children," said Warden.

Easter dinner will be served tomorrow at Christ’s Table from 11 a.m until 1 p.m.
