Christ’s Table Serves Christmas Feast

Christ’s Table provided a Christmas feast to those in need Friday.

Executive Director  Keely Warden said the dinner is for anyone who doesn’t have a place to share a Christmas dinner with family and friends.

“We’re serving Christmas day lunch here at Christ’s Table,” said Keely Warden. “We opened our doors to our family and friends that we serve every day. It’s very important for us to be here on Christmas day for our family and our friends. It would be hard to fathom what it would be like to not have any place to go. So we opened our doors. We lit some candles. We have homemade  cookies on the table. We tried to make today just like home for the people that we love.”

Warden said she is overjoyed by the way this community rallies together and supports one another.

“It’s amazing. This community never ceases to amaze me. We put the plea out there for homemade cookies, they’ve rolled in. Actually, I think we had enough homemade cookies for every family to take a plate home. The over pouring of love from our volunteers that have come in this morning. Some of them were up as earlier at 6 am to help us get ready to feed the homebound today. We’ve have a ton of volunteers come in. We had a gentleman come in and just sat out an the dinner room and played to saxophone and Christmas carols. We’ve have people come in givng out blankets. We had more people come in with homemade candy. This community never ceases to amaze me. How much love is actually in Zanesville and they want to share it,” said Warden.

Warden said she wants to thank everyone for their generosity and donations throughout the year.
