Christ’s Table will keep people fed through the holidays

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – For those in need of a hot meal over the holidays, Christ’s Table will be there for you. With Christmas Eve and Christmas Day approaching, the non-profit hot meal site wants everyone to know that they don’t take days off and will be here along with special guests.

“We just want to remind everybody with the holiday season coming up that Christ’s Table is here, no matter what the holiday is. We don’t take time off. So, we will be open on Christmas Eve and I understand that there’s going to be a special visitor at Christ’s Table on Christmas Eve,” said Keely Warden, the executive director for Christ’s Table. “It’s not Santa and it’s not Mrs. Santa, but there’s a special visitor that’s going to be here on Christmas Eve. Want to put a big thank you out to Mr. Grinch. ”

The volunteers who are helping to put food on the table will also be given a meal, courtesy of the J.W. and M.H. Straker Charitable Foundation.

“And we also want to put a thank you out to the Straker Foundation who is buying us pizza on Christmas Eve because we’ll be busy preparing Christmas dinner. So, we want to thank the Straker Foundation for that and encourage everybody to come on Christmas Eve. We’ll be here from 11 to 1, our normal hours. And then, most importantly, we’ll be here on Christmas day, our regular hours 11 to 1,” Warden said. “And I think Mrs. Santa Clause will is going to be visiting us on Christmas day since, you know, Santa will be kind of tired.”

Christ’s Table can be found at 28 South 6th Street in Zanesville and you can learn more about the non-profit by going to Christs-Table-dot-org.
