Christy Goins

Christy S. Goins, 53 of Nashport, died 4:02 PM, Saturday, May 30, 2026, at The Ohio State University James Cancer Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was born Sunday, March 18, 1973, in Zanesville, the daughter of James “Jim” Goins and Beverly Jean (Insley) Singer.

Christy had a great since of humor, and a personality that could light up a room each time she would enter. Christy had an infectious laugh, and was an incredibility strong, and kind person. She enjoyed fishing, bingo, was a movie buff, and loved to play cards with her family. She enjoyed dining out and loved good food. She was a loving and caring companion, mother, grandmother, and friend, who greatly enjoyed the time she spent with her loved ones. Christy was a hard-core Michigan Wolverine’s fan, who enjoyed watching them beat Ohio State.

Christy is survived by her companion of over 31 years, Adrian Johnson; one son, Austin Goins; one daughter, Destiny (Brayden) McNitt; two grandchildren, Zayn McNitt and Walker Goins; siblings, James “Jim Boy” Goins, Chelsea Goins, Anthony “Rule” Goins, Ike Goins’ step-mother, Karin (Willie) Rodgers; numerous nieces and nephews and a special friend that Christy thought of as her sister, Michele “Shelly” Dilley.

In addition to her father, Jim Goins, Christy was preceded in death by her mother & step-father, Beverly & Gail Singer, and her four-legged family member, Kobe.

Friends may call from 1:00 to 4:00 PM, Sunday June 14, 2026, at the Hillis Combs Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, where Funeral Services will follow at 4:00 PM.
