Cindy Baker Named ‘Mary Vashti Jones Funk Business Award’ Recipient in 2016

Cindy Baker, Quality Care Partners CEO will be receiving the Mary Vashti Jones Funk Business Award.

Quality Care Partners have been working since 1994 to develop a physician hospital that partners with employers across the region to help them manage their health care spend.

“Since January this year we are managing traditional health care benefits across Zanesville, Cambridge, and Marietta. That is 27 thousand different lives that we are going to be managing. There is a lot of initiative towards quality improvement, enhancing care, and trying to reduce the overall cost of care,” said Baker.

Baker said that she has been seeing women over the past years receive the award, but has never thought that she would be considered in the running.

“I think as a recipient of the award it’s one of those things where everyone is going to be looking at you and wondering what you are going to do next. Women of Achievement, what’s she doing now? I think that’s going to be the challenge for the rest of us," said Baker.
