Cindy Denham

Cindy L. Denham, 73, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.
Cindy was born on June 3, 1953, to the late Charles Dwight Miracle and Doris Mae (Freeman) Miracle.
Cindy was a woman of remarkable strength, fierce independence, unwavering convictions, and an enormous capacity to love. She was intelligent, opinionated, and never afraid to stand her ground. Those who knew her understood that when Cindy believed in something, she believed in it wholeheartedly. She possessed a quiet but unmistakable strength that remained steady through life’s challenges. Among her siblings, she was the strong one, someone whose determination and resilience never seemed to waver.
Throughout her life, Cindy brought that same strength, compassion, and dedication to everything she did.
Cindy devoted 29 years of her life to nursing at Genesis Hospital before retiring. Nursing was far more than a career to her; it was something she genuinely loved. Her intelligence, compassion, and dedication to caring for others made nursing a natural expression of who she was. She took pride in her profession and in the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those entrusted to her care.
Cindy was a devoted member of East 40 Church of Christ, and her faith in the Lord was a cornerstone of her life. She was steadfast in her beliefs, open in expressing her faith, and unwavering in her trust in God. Her faith was not simply something she professed, but something she carried with her through every season of life.
During the final years of her life, Cindy endured tremendous physical pain and suffering. Through those difficult times, her faith in the Lord remained a source of strength, comfort, and perseverance. Even when her body was burdened by pain, she continued to draw strength from the beliefs that had guided her throughout her life. Her faith was a reflection of the remarkable resilience and unwavering spirit that defined her.
Above all else, family was the center of Cindy’s world. She treasured the closeness of her family and the special bond they shared. Whether it was holiday dinners, birthdays, family cookouts, or wiener roasts, Cindy cherished every opportunity to gather with those she loved. For her, the occasion itself was never as important as the people who came together to celebrate it. The laughter, conversations, traditions, and memories created during those gatherings were among life’s greatest blessings. She understood the value of belonging to a close-knit family and embraced every opportunity to be part of it.
As a daughter, Cindy’s love and devotion to her parents ran deep. She was protective, loyal, and steadfast in her commitment to family. Following the passing of her mother, Doris, Cindy remained especially devoted to her father, Charles, demonstrating the same unwavering love and strength that defined so much of her life. Her dedication to her parents reflected a deeply held belief that family was something to be cherished, protected, and stood beside through every season of life.
As a sister, Cindy held a special place within her family. Among her siblings, she was the strong one—fiercely independent, remarkably intelligent, and unwavering in her convictions. She had a mind of her own and was never afraid to speak it, but beneath that strong personality was a heart filled with love for her family. She brought strength, loyalty, and a steadfast presence to the relationships she shared with her sisters and brother. Through life’s changes, challenges, and celebrations, the bond of family remained something she deeply cherished.
Cindy’s love for her family extended into every role she held. As a daughter, sister, mother, aunt, and friend, she gave of herself wholeheartedly. She especially loved being an aunt to her nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Her love was genuine, her loyalty unwavering, and her devotion to family was never in question.
To her only son, William “T” Denham II, Cindy was so much more than a mother. She was his first teacher, his rock, and his guiding light throughout life. Long before the world began teaching him its lessons, she was instilling the values that would help shape the man he would become. She taught him honesty, kindness, perseverance, and above all else, the importance of having integrity in everything he does. It wasn’t simply a lesson she taught; it was a principle she lived by, setting an example through her own words, actions, and convictions.
Through life’s challenges and uncertainties, Cindy was his constant source of strength, wisdom, and unconditional love. When times were difficult, she was his rock. When the road ahead seemed uncertain, she was his compass. Her unwavering belief in him gave him the confidence to face life’s challenges, knowing that her love and support would always be there.
Perhaps the greatest testament to Cindy’s influence as a mother is found in the values she passed on to her son. Her guidance, her strength, and the example she set will remain a part of him always, reflected in the decisions he makes, the principles he stands for, and the way he chooses to live his life.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Dwight Miracle and Doris Mae (Freeman) Miracle; her sister, Lyndal “Toodie” Morgan; and her brother, Mike Anderson.
She is survived by her beloved son, William “T” Denham II, and his significant other, Vickie; her sisters, Starlene Mayle (Elbert) and Shelly Mayle (Robert); along with her cherished nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
In accordance with Cindy’s wishes, cremation will take place under the care of DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, and no formal funeral service will be held. A celebration of her life will be scheduled at a later date, providing family and friends an opportunity to come together, share memories, and honor the remarkable woman she was.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Cindy’s primary physician, Dr. Shelly Dunmyer, and her entire team for the care, compassion, and dedication they provided throughout her medical journey.
Special appreciation is also extended to her minister, Will Dusing, and her entire church family at East 40 Church of Christ for their prayers, love, spiritual guidance, and unwavering support. Their kindness and compassion have been a source of comfort and strength during life’s most difficult moments.
Cindy leaves behind a legacy of strength, faith, integrity, and unconditional love. Her life was a testament to the values she held dear, the family she cherished, and the Lord in whom she placed her trust.
Although her absence will be deeply felt by those who loved her, there is comfort in knowing that the pain and suffering she endured are now behind her. Her earthly struggles have come to an end, and she has found the peace and rest that her steadfast faith in the Lord promised.
Her suffering has ended, her faith has been fulfilled, and she is finally at peace in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior.
