City Council Recap

ZANESVILLE, Ohio — City Council held their bi-weekly meeting at Town Hall on Monday evening.
A light agenda included the passing of four ordinances. Among the ordinances passed were an upgrade to the traffic signals and railroad crossing on US Route-22 within the city of Zanesville, and an ordinance authorizing city officials to dispose of surplus property.
The council also passed a moral claim with two local community members in which the city agreed to pay half of an exavation bill they had received from the city. The city agreed to pay half because there was a discrepancy if the water break occurred on the City’s side or the property owner’s side.
Mayor Tilton also spoke at Monday’s meeting, once again thanking the council for their efforts on the KidZville rebuild project, noting how many kids and parents are taking advantage of the revitalized space.
