City of Newark to Add Police Officer

Newark Mayor Jeff Hall has announced the addition of a new Police Officer to the department. A swearing in ceremony will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Newark Police Station. Hall says Nate Shiffel is a 1994 graduate of Dublin Coffman High School. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Toledo. From 1999 to 2012 Shiffel worked as an officer with the City of Bowling Green Division of Police. He served five years as a General Detective and Drug Investigator.
